For today’s journal page entry I used a variety of maps and pages from an old West Midlands road atlas, plus some ink (Tim Holtz Distress ink) I then just used an old sentiment I found to create the title “Explore.”

Using old maps is a great way to create interesting texture and pattern in your art journal, why not give it a try? If you don’t have any old maps lying around you can always print one off the internet and age it yourself using inks, paints or even tea and coffee.
