I had the fantastic opportunity to draw Aimee, a wonderful dancer, model and friend, at the last Hush Life Drawing session of the summer term in July.
Aimee treated us all to a beautiful clothed performance of an Ariel silks dance and continued to pose for the life drawing session with the silks as support for her poses.
Ariel silks is a type of performance art/ dance that takes place using large swathes of fabric hanging from a hook in the ceiling/ or apparatus that allows the performer to dance in the air using the fabric as support and as a prop.
